Building Financial Inclusion, One Community at a Time
We believe that financial tools should work for everyone, regardless of income level or background.
Our Mission
To democratize financial access across Nigeria and Ghana by providing simple, trustworthy, and culturally-relevant savings and financial tools. We empower women and low-income earners to build economic resilience, achieve their goals, and secure brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Our Vision
A West Africa where every woman and every low-income earner has the tools, knowledge, and support to achieve financial independence. We envision communities where savings culture thrives, where small contributions compound into life-changing outcomes, and where financial exclusion is a thing of the past.
From Observation to Action
Savera began in 2022 when our founder, Ngozi Adeyemi, witnessed a devastating pattern while working in microfinance across Lagos and Accra. She saw hardworking market women, teachers, and farmers struggling to build savings despite earning enough to do so.
The problem was not lack of income — it was lack of access. Traditional banks required minimum balances, charged hidden fees, and operated in locations inconvenient for working-class communities. Meanwhile, informal savings groups (called ajo, susu, or esusu) had been serving communities for generations but lacked modern tools.
Savera bridges this gap. We digitize the trust and community accountability of traditional savings circles, while adding the convenience, security, and growth opportunities of modern fintech.
What Drives Us Every Day
Empathy First
We design every feature with our users' lived realities in mind. Low data usage, offline functionality, and local languages are not afterthoughts — they are core requirements.
Trust & Transparency
No hidden fees. No confusing terms. Every transaction is clear, every fee is explained, and every savings goal is tracked openly. Your trust is our most valuable asset.
Community Power
We believe people achieve more together. Our group savings features harness the social accountability that has helped African communities thrive for generations.
Sustainable Growth
We promote financial behaviors that create lasting change. Quick fixes and predatory lending have no place in our ecosystem. We are building wealth, not debt.
Local Relevance
Our platform speaks your language — literally and figuratively. From Yoruba to Twi, from market cycles to farming seasons, we build for your context.
Accessibility for All
Whether you earn 20,000 NGN or 200,000 NGN monthly, Savera works for you. No minimums. No judgment. Just tools that adapt to your reality.
